"You Are What You Feed Yourself"

You cannot change your output without changing your input!

Watch what you see and what you hear. This is one of the MOST IMPORTANT advices I have ever received. We are like sponges. We take in whatever is around us, and in turn, those things are what we produce or project.

We have the choice to be exactly who we want to be! The choice is not in what we do and say, but it is in what we feed ourselves with.

If you want to be a great leader, surround yourself with great leaders. If you want to stop your substance habits, stop hanging out with people that have the same problem! If you want to be a good singer, listen to great singers and you will learn from them. If you want to be a lawyer, go to law school.

It's simple!

Here are some everyday inputs that shape us.

-Books

-Movies

-TV

-People we spend time with

-Internet

-Media

-Food

Then there are other inputs that are more concrete.

-School

-The country you live in and its culture

-The environment where you live (nature, buildings)

-Religion/practices

-Your job itself

The Lesson...

You get to choose what you feed yourself with. This is important. When you choose a book to read, choose carefully. Your life is not long enough for you to read EVERYTHING you want to read. You must choose it like it is the last book you will read.

When you choose a friend, do it as if she is the last and only friend that you will ever make. When getting a job, think about whether you would get this job if it was the last job you will ever have.

Same with everything else.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow.

Every single thing counts. Every time you do something, it is being reinforced. Every time you do something, it has taken away from the limited time you have in life.
